Giant Interiors Ltd (“we”, “us”) is based in Kiambu Town, Kenya. This notice explains what personal data we collect through giantinteriors.co.ke, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry or request a quotation, we collect the details you provide:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- the project location, property type, service required, budget range and timing;
- your message or notes;
- any photographs, plans or documents you choose to upload. Please avoid uploading documents that show information we don’t need, such as identity documents.
When you submit a form we also record the page you submitted it from, your browser’s user agent, and a one-way hashed form of your IP address. We use these only to prevent spam and abuse. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for security and troubleshooting.
If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, those services process your messages under their own terms and privacy policies.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation;
- to arrange site assessments and deliver the work you ask us to carry out;
- to send you an acknowledgement with your reference number;
- to keep our website secure and prevent spam.
We rely on your consent and on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Photographs and documents you upload
Uploaded files are stored privately. They are not publicly accessible and are available only to authorised Giant Interiors staff through our secure administration system. Where possible we remove location (GPS) and camera information embedded in photographs when they are received.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiries and quotation requests only as long as needed for the purposes above. Hashed IP addresses and browser information are deleted after 90 days. Uploaded files and the details of enquiries that do not proceed are deleted after 12 months. Records relating to work we carry out are kept as long as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to host this website and our systems and to deliver email. They process data only on our instructions. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our administration system, private storage for uploads and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
